Schools baulk at funds disclosure
PRIVATE schools have warned that forcing them to be more transparent about their finances and results could lead to "ideological bullying", fearful parents and communities, and political agendas.

From next year, all schools will be required to publicly disclose information about their fees, resources and results as a condition of billions of dollars in federal funding.

The Victorian Parents Council is a voice for non-government school parents and a powerful influence in the decisions that affect our children's education

Mission

The Victorian Parents Council aims to encourage, inform and respond to the needs of Parent Associations using its knowledge base and networking ability. Through engaging non-government school parents in educational issues, the Council aims to maximise choice and quality in education. The Council provides the vital link between parents, government, education authorities and the media

Values

The Victorian Parents Council works in partnership to pursue the best interests of non-government school parents and their children. The council ensures that parents are treated equitably by Government regardless of their choice of education providers. The Council has no affiliation with any political party and is non-denominational.
