Schools baulk at funds disclosure
PRIVATE schools have warned that forcing them to be more transparent about their finances and results could lead to "ideological bullying", fearful parents and communities, and political agendas.

From next year, all schools will be required to publicly disclose information about their fees, resources and results as a condition of billions of dollars in federal funding.

This area of the website has been divided into 3 areas to simplify searching into areas of interest.

Family School Partnerships have been around for a long time and are understood to help build school communities and parent capacity to support the school, teacher and child. This section discusses the importance of partnerships in building school communities and children's outcomes and the work of the Family School and Community Partnerships Bureau, established early 2008. Partnerships are also a major focus for the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

Parent Associations play a critical role in supporting schools and school communities. This section is being developed to provide resources and networking opportunities for established and new parent associations. If you would like more information or have suggestions, visit our contact page and complete the feedback form.

Supporting your child is designed to link parents with current and relevant information about how to support your child at school. We aim to link parents to existing resources in a clear and easy to follow way. Please be patient whilst we develop this area of our website about a number of issues such as career choice, starting year 7, student transport, work experience and student health and wellbeing. We would also welcome any new information or resources you may find via our feedback form on the contacts page.
