Survey of Parents
A national telephone survey of parents was conducted in October 2008, seeking information about parents? attitudes to the provision of information about individual schools. Responses were received from 1976 parents.

VPC Membership

Membership is open to parent associations and interested individuals.

Membership entitles you to:

  • Representation at VPC committee meetings.
  • Representation to senior levels of the Catholic Education Office and Association of Independent Schools Victoria.
  • Representation to state and federal politicians and senior education advisers.
  • Representation on government and independent committees dealing with issues such as:
    • Students with Disabilities
    • Work Experience Legislation
    • Victorian Institute of Teaching
    • Victorian Qualification Authority
    • Bullying
    • Boys' Education
    • Review of the Registered Schools Board
    • VCE
    • Careers Education
  • Access to newsletters and updates on educational and social issues.
  • Involvement in preparation of submissions and discussion papers on parent related matters.
  • The opportunity to be involved with the media and how non-government school parents are portrayed to the wider community.
  • Increased parent involvement in schools through working with teachers, principals and teacher training institutes.
